Behind Closed Doors

The evening started out innocently enough. Just a few friends from church over for some fellowship and pizza. We had some snacks...potato chips and dip, and the chocolate chip cookies I had baked earlier in the day.

We were having such a good time. But...once the baby fell asleep...and we had put on a Disney movie for Tara to watch...I'm not sure whose idea is was really...though I know the cards were brought by someone outside the immediate family. Before you knew it, we had all become involved in a CARD GAME of Canasta!

I guess you never know what goes on behind closed doors, do you???

Cosmo's New Friend

I am taking care of Betsy's cockatiel for her while she is gone with her family on a camping trip. It was sooo funny when Betsy brought her over (yes...she's a she...and Cosmo is a he!) Cosmo got so excited he started to serenade to her, cracking everybody up!
Cosmo is the gray one...and the pretty yellow one is the female. Not to worry...I am supervising them very closely and they will remain in separate cages for the duration :)

Fireworks!

What would the 4th be without a few sparklers, smoke bombs and things that go "boom"!

A Few More

Aminah looking very patriotic in her cute blouse and hat!

Trish and Zoe

Me reading to my grandaughter Zoe...one of the most beautiful girls in the world! Poor baby got a nasty misquito bite on her forehead. :(

John's Birthday

Today was John's 55th birthday. We went to Angie and Nik's house in Renton (about a 1 1/2 hr drive...depending on traffic). Nik's mom Jan made John an apple cake with cream cheese frosting. So now that makes 2 birthday cakes!
Aminah helped John blow out the candles.

Head For The Hills

Every 3rd of July Allen and Judy Hill and their family have a get-together at their house. Even though the weather wasn't exactly cooperative there was a large group from church that showed up for a good time.
There were 3 birthdays: Jim Wilkison, Ruth Lake Wilkison and John. They had a nice birthday cake that was enjoyed by all.
