Mom and Me Today

Mom and I took a little walk this afternoon around the house and the yard. The flowers are so pretty right now. It's not hot...or cold! Spring is my favorite time of the year.

Today John and I drove down to visit with Angie and Nik and the grandchildren. Boy are they growing up fast!!

Aminah is 11, Gabe will be 6 in a week, Elyjah is 4, and Zoe is 2. Aren't they the cutest grandchildren EVER!!!!!! :)

Spring Has Sprung

Today is the third day straight that we have been blessed with beautiful sunshine here in Washington. It's sunny, and a kind-of warm 61 degrees today. The kids next door at the daycare are running around outside with short sleeves. John has already had to cut the lawn once.

The daffodils are showing their colors.

The buds are beginning to sprout on the apple and pear trees.

The earth has awakened from her wintery sleep and rejoices as a new season begins. John and I have decided to start a garden this year! :) Stay tuned!!!

Well....I'd say I've changed quite a bit...ha! John started talking about how much everyone has changed from his friends on Facebook, so it got me to thinking about how much I've changed as well. Would anyone still recognize me??? Hard to say :)
Remember...we older folks are supposed to be wise....full of wisdom and knowledge....right??? right?????

Well, I couldn't very well not include a picture of Mike now could I???

Well...we have about a foot of snow on the ground....and huge, white snowflakes are falling even now as I type this. It's just beautiful! We are definately experiencing a white Christmas this year...and are beyond thrilled!!!! (at least I am) :)

I just thought I would share a few more of my favorite pictures that we took over the weekend.

Tree On Cumberland Pass

On Saturday John and I went with another couple from church (Tom and Judy) on a drive through the Cumberland Pass. It is a loop that runs through the mountains between Mt. Vernon and Darrington and is part of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie Forest. We were blessed with an absolutely beautiful day...and the fall colors are at their peak now! The sun was out and, though it was a bit cool, the crisp air felt good!




They don't grow them like that anymore :)
