Dan, Tiff and Abby's Trip/Day 3

Today we left the city and headed up for the mountains. We went to Mount Baker, and got to see some snow! Now...who can say they got to play in the snow in the middle of Summer???

Scenic view

Just a little snow...do you think??? And it was cold too!

The sun peeking through the mountains as we drove back down the mountain.
We even got home in time for everyone to take a little nap. Then we grilled some steaks and had a nice salad and some fresh corn and strawberries!
Tomorrow we will drive them back to Sea-Tac Airport and they will take a plane back for home. We have enjoyed having them so much!!!

You have a beautiful family and I am glad that you got to spend some time with them. I sure appreciate those in ministry that spend time away from their families to minister to those of us in the NW. We were at Mt. Baker on August 2nd, I have lived here all my life and that was the first time I had been up there. We got rained on, but it was still beautiful up there. God is so creative! We also discovered a great restaraunt in the little town of Everson called The Black Forest. It has great bavarian style food.

Hi Tootlepip. Thanks for the comment on my blog! It really is beautiful up here isn't it? Do you also live in Burlington? We stopped that day at a little restaurant close to Acme. The food was good...but the German restaurant sounds wonderful. I really like sauerbrauten. Good stuff!! By the way, I really like your name. Must be an interesting story behind that one :)
